We are currently looking for a Scientist, Analytical Development and Validation :

The Research Scientist, Analytical Development and Validation is responsible evaluating, developing and validating new methods to analyze all the components of a product in development. He/she ensures that these methods are scientifically appropriate and can pass validation if required. The research scientist is required to support the validation of these methods. The research scientist writes the development reports and validation protocols/reports, ensures the successful transfer of methods and provides technical support as required. In addition, the validation and development research scientist is required to be up to date on any scientific improvements, must follow and understand new developments in a variety of fields of expertise and must be capable of interpreting and assimilating information that is relevant to projects in development to provide adequate support to the pharmaceutical development group.

Summary of tasks:

Develop and optimize analytical methods, including dosing, impurities, excipients, and others in accordance with the pharmaceutical regulatory framework;
Draft analytical procedures and analytical development reports;
Investigate and resolve various analytical and technical problems;
Contribute to answering questions from regulatory bodies;
Analyze raw materials and pre-formulation batches and draft corresponding analysis certificates;
Actively participate in analytical transfers;
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and analytical applications relevant to pharmaceutical development;
Actively participate in science promotion (communications) and training initiatives;
Provide support to departments at the Pharmaceutical Development Centre, as needed.

Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or Master’s degree (MSc) in Chemistry or Biochemistry
French and English
Five (5) to eight (8) years
Experience in a pharmaceutical environment
Experience in development and validation of analytical methods (HPLC, Gc, UV)
