Position Summary

Create, maintain and communicate the production plan for manufacturing and packaging by using planning tools while maximizing resources utilization and keeping product stocks according to Company objectives and KPIs.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Review customer forecast vs current stock levels prior to generating the Master Production Plan.

• Maintain the Master Production Plan based on actual sales and /or shipment to our customer and future forecast to identify and prevent service issues.

• Create, maintain and communicate the production plan for manufacturing and packaging.

• Generate job orders to reflect the production plan and ensure availability of all required raw materials and components.

• Weekly update of the Product availability Report.

• Analyze and review Order Action Report to request to Procurement the purchasing of raw materials, packaging components, semi-finished and/or finished products based on lead time and ordering criteria.

•Participate in daily meetings with Production, QA and QC to provide up to date information regarding pending orders and potential delays.

•Participate in meetings pertaining to their respective role.

•Represents Planning on the new product development teams and coordinate planning issues with pertaining stakeholders.

•Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations meeting

•Communicate to Marketing and/or Customer service departments any service issues related to stock availability in a timely manner.

Education/Competencies Requirements

  • Education: University degree with knowledge of production planning, inventory control and supply chain management.
  • Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in materials planning or inventory control in a manufacturing environment within the Pharmaceutical, Health Care or Food industry.
  • Administrative/Managerial Competencies: computer literate, statistics, planning and organizing, critical thinking, goals and objective oriented
  • Interpersonal Skills/Competencies: Firm, tactful, reliable, persuasive, dependable, consistent, flexible, sensible, objective and emphatic.
  • Other: Good oral and written communication skills in English and French.
