The position will be involved in the early-stage pharmaceutical development of protein therapeutics and antibody-drug conjugates for clinical evaluation.  The work will include formulation development, biophysical characterization, product configuration selection, and support manufacturing process development. Some of the work may also involve highly potent molecules.  This person will ultimately lead junior scientists and/or associates and will be responsible for development and technology projects, providing both technical oversight and strategic guidance in a highly collaborative environment.  A high degree of initiative is expected to assess new areas and directions critical for drug product development.  In addition, the responsibilities include applying and advancing biophysical techniques that can give insight to the structure of proteins as well as protein-protein interactions, and physical and chemical stability.  Applicants must be comfortable working both independently and as part of teams to produce high quality results. Biomaterials or a related field with 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience in protein therapeutic analytics or development is preferred.  The candidate should have a strong scientific background and excellent analytical / problem solving skills.  Strong oral and written communication skills are required to communicate ideas and objectives to diverse stakeholders. Good documentation and organizational skills are also essential. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with proven abilities to make independent innovative contributions.  The candidate will also possess strong collaboration skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, customers and collaborators.
