Quality Manager – Wales

My medical device client, based in South Wales, is looking for a Quality Manager to join their dynamic and growing business.

About the role

You will be the sole point of contact for all Quality functions and it is a great opportunity to really be accountable and own quality within the company.

This role is responsible for the day to day running of quality management and its full integration into the development and manufacturing processes of the company’s point of care reagents/hardware products. Leads the quality management team reporting to the Plant Manager. Organises and attends all quality meetings and attends technical development reviews. Invited as an observer/contributor at other management meetings as required. Expected to undertake audits and become a trained auditor.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

Requires direct responsibility for:

* Quality management system
* Preparing for audits for ISO13485/9001
* QC
* QA
* Runs internal audits
* Runs any corrective action processes
* Maintains the quality management syste

Personal Specification:

* University degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or a Highly Regulated Industry.
* Minimum of 5 year’s experience in related industry, in manufacturing, Quality Control and R&D.
* Experience in GMP/regulated production. Experience in lean manufacturing techniques. Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Experience with ISO9001 /13485 and managing quality improvement projects.
* English Fluency
* Potential and interest in career progression
* Strong It background
* Able to hold and conduct audits. (Lead auditor)

* Requires ability to work through diverse and often dispersed teams to achieve quality, communicating clearly with all parties (including regulators) in a practical, confident and professional manner about the business, its goals and its technical requirements without being distracted from other financial and operational goals. Works with the highest integrity.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
